Whats a good body fat calculator for me.? Here is my problem. I'm a martial artist who is pretty muscular. But at the same time I'm kinda fat too. So whats an accurate body fat calculator that will help me calculate my bf%. The circumferance one cant be right because my muscles contribute to my width of the abs just like my fat would so it couldnt work. So whats a good way to calculate?
body fat % ?? I do not understand it. I figured I was at least 20 % body fat. I am 5'11 and weight 191 lbs without shoes on... I did a body fat calculator using my waist size (31 inches) and neck size 16.5 inches.. I have done a couple and they say I am 10-12.5% body fat... At what % would I need to be to have killer abs and a lean look.. I want to be able to see the vein in my biceps pop other than when I am working out.. lol... Any answers?

how to lose % body fat!?!?! HELP!? i used a calculator of what my RMR is and it said 2300 calories burned if i do no exercise but i weight lift 3 times a week, and im going to start running again daily 5 days a week for atleast 20 mins. i drink half a gallon of water or more everyday. i still got some belly fat / love handles i want to get rid off that i just havent been able to lose in the past month or 2. ive been losing weight since 5 months ago when i first started to work out and made ALOT of progress but i just cant seem to lose the last few amounts of FAT. im trying to lower my fat percent to like 8-9%. if i burn 2300calories by not doing ne thing and about 2800 calories when i run, how many calories should i eat daily, how much protein do i need ( im trying to be TONED/CUT ) ? Are these online body fat percentage calculators accurate? I went on a body fat calculator and it told me to measure my waist and stuff. So I did and It told me I had a % of 20! I find it hard to believe when I am 15, a boy and weigh 148 pounds. Should I trust these calculators, or are they inaccurate? thanks.
body fat percentage? How can I find my real body fat percentage. A lot of the online calculators I've found only ask my weight, sex, and waist size. It's hard for me to understand how they calculate that without like my height, age, or if I'm atheletic or something. Help?

What is a reasonable goal for a friendly body-fat loss competition between me and my boyfriend? I am 28yrs., 5 ft. 8 in., 150 lbs, with 22%-24% body fat depending on the calculator used. My boyfriend is 27yrs., 5 ft. 11 in., 170 lbs with 24-30% body fat depending on calculator. We'd like to start exercising (we were both very athletic in high school and I also in college) but we have been pretty inactive for 3 years now. I'd love for an expert to tell me what would be a reasonable goal to set for body fat loss if we commit to exercising 3-4x per week 30-45 min. each time for 4 to 6 weeks (no diet modifications yet, just exercise). I know guys burn it off faster than girls, so I would like to know what would be a fair, comparable loss for each of us. That way we can see who really "won" and have some fun with it. I have less than 2% body fat... Is that even healthy? I'd like to point out that I've determined this with several body fat calculators and i've re-checked my body measurements several times. The only possible way the calculator could have screwed up is if it matters that I'm only 14 years old. If so, is there a teen calculator out there?
Getting a 6pack and question on body fat? Hi :) I'm female, 5''8 and weigh 118 Ibs. I'm starting to go the gym to tone up.. I know that for a 6pack to show, your body has to have low body fat but I'm not sure what this percentage is? Does anyone know so they can give me any tips please :)? Decreasing body fat percentage? So I've done a teeny tiny bit of research and think I have come up with a pretty good estimate of my body fat percentage using online calculators. I used 7 different calculators and averaged them all together and have found out that my body fat percentage is around 25.42%. I am an athlete and due to the needs of my sport (jumping, being quick and agile, etc.) I've decided it would be to my benefit to decrease my body fat percentage to about 18.5%. So, I would have to lose approximately 6.92% of my body mass (body fat). This would be around 8lbs. I do not want to lose any lean muscle mass; I am aiming to lose pure body fat. What is the best way to go about this? My schedule is tight, but I do have a gym membership close by... i.e. Sunday-practice (1-3) Monday-school(7-2), work (2:30-7), practice (8-10) Tuesday-school (7-2),off/work (230-7) Wednesday-school (7-2), work (2:30-5), practice (6:30-9:30) Thursday-school (7-2), off/work (2:30-7) Friday-school (7-2), work (2:30-6) *sorry... 6.92% of 143 (my weight): .0692 x 143=9.895... So about 10 lbs. is what I need to lose. I am female, 5'7", and 143lbs.
could a recruiter make the wrong calculations on Body Fat %.? He said I was at 44% which is unimaginable to me. I did calculations on the computer that said I was at 29% which means I can join right now, or if he is right, I have to lose 12%. What is the lowest body fat percent I can safely obtain? Im male, 17 going into the USMC soon, I weigh 130, 5'6'' tall, and according to an online body fat calculator I am 12% body fat, I work out for 1-2 hrs a day 5 days a week. i bought a cheap handheld body-fat % calculator from wal-mart for $13...i workout or run everyday? and i have detailed abs and absolutely no visible fat on my body.....however, when i use it it tells me my body-fat% is 26%!? i'm 180 5'11" and have no pudge on my belly or anywhere else at all. i also used it on my roomate who is overweight and it returned nearly the exact same reading? is this thing a piece of crap or what? i just don't get it, i've only been called skinny in my life and this thing tells me i'm overweight and full of fat...it's depressing as hell :(
Accuracy of Body Fat Calculators? Hey I'm 24 year old male, always been heavy but packed on pounds in last year of uni. About 6' tall, and 215lbs. According to that, BMI is about 29.2, which isn't so bad I think. But then i tried a body fat calculator and that says 30% fat, when according to them i should be about 18%! I tried some other online calculators but they all give roughly the same answer. I've got a pretty big stomach (43" waist), but I'm generally heavy-set, so not too out of proportion. Are these online calculators just a bunch of bull? If it's just my belly size, is there any way I can reduce it without dieting? Can you get like targetted surgery or something like lipsuction for it?

Is 39% Body Fat Underweight Possible ? I've spent the last 3-4 years extremely inactive. Part of this is because I do work at home, the others are personal. In any event, I've spent a good deal of 90% of that time inactive. I'm very underweight -- about 115lbs at 5'11 and 19 years. My scale has a body fat % calculator (it just asks me for my age and height). I don't understand how it figures it out, but it does. It has me listed at 39% body fat. My friend says there is no way that is possible, but I am not so sure considering I've done little to nothing to maintain any real muscle on my body. Is this wrong, or is it really a realistic possibility? Keep in mind a woman with poor body fat is over 30%, and a man with poor body fat is around over 25% (or there about).

Online body fat test? I did these two online body fat tests and i got 2 completely different answers. On the first one, (http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/) i got 31.86% which is counted as an obese percentage. The second one, (http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/home-body-fat-test-2774-143.html) says i have 16.2%, which is at the athlete range. They kinda worried me cause ya know, no one ever wants to be obese, and my dad's side of the family has a history of type 2 diabetes, and i don't want diabetes when i grow up. I am currently 5' 0". (i'll probably never get any taller >_<) I weigh somewhere between 105-109 lbs. (i just got back from vegging out on vacation (: ... i was 105.6 before we left ) I'm almost 15 years old. How can I lose body fat, without losing weight? I don't think it would be healthy for me to lose additional weight. My BMI is around 19.8, which is on the lower end of normal. Unfortunately, over the last 12 years my breasts strangely shrank an entire cup size, and all my body fat got concentrated in my thighs, and it became uneven, appearing as cellulite. So, even at a low weight, I am concerned that my body fat is too high. Every time I do a body fat calculator, it says my body fat is really borderline. I already run every day of the week, lift weights, and see a nutritionist. You might think, well you're pretty thin, don't worry, but I don't want an unhealthy body fat level. Even someone who appears thin may have a higher body fat percentage than a heavier, or larger-looking person . I'd like to be able to wear a swimsuit, without dimply, jiggly thighs. I am so depressed about it. How can I get rid of all that stubborn fat in my thighs without sinking to some horrible, unattractive anorexic weight?

Do I have too much body fat? I'm 13 years old. I'm 5'3 and 110 pounds. I did a body fat calculator and it said I have 32.65% body fat. I eat 2000 to 2500 calories a day. When I stand up I can't see my toes and my feet are big because my belly is in the way. Is this bad? My belly waist is 30 inches. It used to be 26 inches. And I tried on some of my clothes yesterday that I haven't worn for a couple of months and there sort of tight on me. I have chubby thighs, legs, hips and belly. Am I getting fatter?

why does it tell me two different body fats? My tanita scale which measures my body fat while weighing me usually says I'm between 37-38% body fat. I did a few body fat calculators on some websites. one said I was 50% body fat, the other said 43.65%. I want a better idea of what my body fat is. which method is closer to the truth, the scale or the web site calculators?
Body Fat Percentage Question? I'm 12 years old, and I went on a body fat calculator website and measured all they asked, and it says: your body fat percentage is estimated to be 14.39 % using the U.S. Navy body fat formula, or 25.80 % using the formula developed by the YMCA. Is this healthy? I know I am only 12, but I'm not looking to lose weight. I just want to know if it's okay. Is it? Yes, I know, but it says they are both developed by two different measuring... people? i guess, so I have a feeling the 2nd one measures on a different 'number' basis, so that's healthy according to them. so yeah. i think the 1st is more accurate.
My percent Body fat is Great, but my weight is obese- What does this mean? I went in and got my body fat measured and I am in the Healthy range. Yet my BMI puts me at level 1 obese. If I were to weight the highest for a healthy BMI, an online calculator says that I would be dramatically underweight. Am i on the right track to burn body fat? I used a resting metabolism calculator online. It says i burn about 2000-2200 calories naturally each day. I eat everything proportionally, i cut out all my high sugar foods and do 60+ min of cardio each day. I also have a weight lifting routine for me as well.

According the YMCA formula, I'm obese (funny because I'm also considered severely underweight for my height), and according to the U.S. Navy's formula, I'm an athlete (also far from accurate). Lower my body fat percentage? I am 16 years old and I am a runner (middle/long distance). I am 172cm and 60.5kg . From online calculators (probably inaccurate i know) and from cheap hand held monitors I have worked otu my body fat percentage to be about 20%. I want to lower it and also looking at myself I think that I am too fat (I have body image issues [had anorexia/bulimia] but genuinely think I should loose some fat and tone up). Explain this to me (bmi, body fat %)? Alright, my bmi is like 18.2, but then I do my body fat % and it comes out as borderline obese. I am not doing anything wrong.. I checked it a few times. Am i doing the right thing to loose body fat? Hi, I am 16 years old, about 5 feet 8.5 inches and i weigh about 145 pounds. I am trying to loose body fat in order to get more definition in my abs. I have cut back around 500 calories from what the online calculators tell me what or how many caloires i burn/day. I am around 14% body fat and i am trying to cut down to 7%. I stopped lifting weights and i only do cardio now, (swim 3 times/week and run 1/week). Lateral thigh trainer a good cardio workout? Having found a LLT collecting dust I was wondering if they're any good. I just did a body fat calculator thing and was shocked to find out i have 23% body fat! So I decided that, added to my weigh training, I should do some cardio. Lo and behold, the LLT sprung to my mind. So is it actually any good? I've heard it's boring, and from a go on it I'm not surprised, but how long/how good are results from it? cheers

BMI calculator specific for athletes? i have been an athlete for over 10 years, and have been doing weight lifting for over 6. My muscles show on almost every part of my body, and i only have 2% body fat left to shed, but i do weigh more than i should according to the BMI calculator. I know i'm muscular, not fat so, if the scale says i weigh too much, is there a way of finding out if i'm really overweight?

can i lose 15-20 lbs by October? According to a fat calculator, I have a body fat percentage of 18.8-19.7 and 25.4 lbs of my weight is fat. I currently weigh 134.8 [round off to 135] and I'm 5'4". I'd like to be 115-120 lbs and I've started run/walking for 30 min. Is it possible for me to lose this weight by October, if so how? and.. will my head be way to big for my body? [lol my aunt keeps saying that.. so yeah]

Fitness help? What is a good way to get in shape? My son is 12 and he wants to get in shape. He is 5 feet five inches and ways 118 pounds. The BMI calculator is for adults only. How do you calculate % body fat as well.
BMI Calculator? So I am 23 5'3" and weigh 150... the BMI calculator says I am overweight... The problem here is I am not overweight lol. I have always had a broad curvy frame even as a girl. I currently do yoga M,W,F and run on T,Thr,Sat and do weights on cardio days. I eat a healthy preservative free vegetarian diet and drink plenty of water. When I tell people my weight they are usually surprised and say I look about 130. I know muscle weighs more than fat... So my question is what constitutes the accuracy of a BMI calculator... Perhaps if I didnt have a healthy lifestyle I would be genuinly overweight but I am not... And then... what is the best way for me to figure my body fat percentage? Thanks! *Commical side note* My weight is a sucky illusion too - I can never enter in Jell-o wrestling or fight night type situations at bars... because I weigh too much!
are the BMI calculator scales..? the bmi calculator scale that are online acurrate? im a wrestler. last year i weighed about 160 with a body fat in the teens. then i started to lift for football during the summer. then i was out in the fall due to injury gain a few pounds. then they we were certified for wreastling then i had a body fat percent of 22. now i did it online and it say that i am 28 %. i am 5 foot 7 180 pounds and in good shape. are these accurate calculations?
Wrestling weight loss? Im a freshman and i weigh 170 pounds...i think im around 12 % body fat, but i dont know. I want to be around 140-150 by next season or ASAP. So, my first question is how and is it possible and my second question is does anyone know about a good fat % calculator?
Am I REALLY overweight??? ok so I weigh 133 pounds, I am 5'1, and I have size G boobs. I have a little extra cushioning around my tummy. I go to the gym regularly for at least 1hr if not 2 hours at least 3 days a week. Every online calculator for BMI, Ideal Weight, Body Fat Percentage, etc. tells me that I am overweight!!! My "ideal" weight is between 100-115 pounds!! I really really think that those calculators are crap because I wear size 27 in jeans and size 2 or 4 in skirts!!! If I was 115 pounds like I'm "ideally" supposed to be, I'd be a size 0 if not less!!! Do you agree with me or am I crazy?? Am I really overweight?? are those calculators crap?? I don't really have THAT much extra cushioning around my stomach, its a little soft but pretty flat though so I guess it really isn't all that extra....
Am I Overweight...i always criticise myself.? Ever since early childhood, i always thought i was ..big. Although bullemia and similar diseases are most often associated with women i think i have a trace of it. I have been going nuts over the past few years. I play on my school football team, i run 3 miles every day, and i enjoy going to karate and getting a good workout every few days. Im 5'5 and 123 pounds, I did this fat calculator, which read that i have 8% body fat, and im still like freaking out! I keep telling myself im not big, but i dont know, i just feel so weird...
BMI Calculator? Is it just me or doesnt any one else feel that the BMI is one of the most worthless numbers when figureing out if some one is fat. I read all these questions on Answers "Am i fat?" and some one is like "Well according to your BMI you are" Lets look at this the BMI takes into account 2 varibles 1) weight 2) hight for me i was 5'8 185, according to my BMI i was fat. But according to my body fat % it was around 12 which is the low end of normal and i had a lot of muscle. So is it just me or does any one else think the BMI is worthless? Agree or disagree? explain
How do I efficiently lose weight for wrestling at my current fitness? Hi. So I weigh 118-120 lbs. Wrestling started two weeks ago and I have been trying to get down to 112 lbs. How 3 days before a match last week I was pretty much starving and sweating like crazy. I still didn't make weight. I was 113.9 lbs but they gave me a pound allowance, but that still made me .9 lbs over. They allowed to wrestle. So now I am back up to 118 lbs because I returned to eating 3 meals a day. I don't eat any obvious junk food such as chips and pop. But my problem is that everytime I cut weight and eat minimally, I feel light-headed and I have very low energy. What can I do to safely and efficiently lose weight so I can be at optimal strength at 112 lbs? To give you a better overview, I am 5'6", 118 lbs and my percent body fat is 7.5%. I checked this fat loss calculator and it said that with my weight and body fat, I can only afford to lose .64 lbs in fat. Help?
Guys, Would you consider this to be too fat? I have used BMI calculators that have said I am over wieght so i wanted to see what a guys opinion on my body would be. I am 5'5 and about 150 lbs. Am I fat for My Age? I'm Just about 5'8 and 13 years old. I my weight is always changing like, one day its 139 then its 143. On average though its 143. I dance at least 3 hours a day, EVERyDAY. But I have a huge appetite. I did all those body frame tests and BMI calculators, they say I have a small frame but in avergae weight. But I always feel fat. Opinions please? ok...summer is rolling around and I am trying to tone up and get "cut" as you could say. Some say I am small 5'11 at 155 pds. But as the BMI calculators say I have 21% body fat and I am trying to lower that to tone up my abs. I am on about 2600 calorie intake a day with 800 of those protein, 1600 carbs, and 400 fat.and I take whey protein twice a day with l-glutatmine 3 times a day. I go to the gym everyday and run about 2-3 miles + my workout weither it be arms or legs each day. My question is can I lose body fat to "show" my abs and also get "cut"/stronger? or do I have to choice one and go with it first?

I need to lose fat (not weight) and build muscle quickly? Okay, so its not major life or death, but Im going on holiday in about two/three weeks, and I really want to feel good about my body. BOO B.M.I calculators? I strongly dislike BMI calculators, seriously! I actually did nude modeling a year back, my BMI is 25, but I have less then 6% body fat when a normal woman has 12%-22%. It makes me mad because not only are there other women out there who have muscles from sports and other activites the BMI causes people to hate there image. I wish there was a calculator that doesn't have BMI based on size
I want to lose weight in my face.? I have a fat looking face but in a BMI calculator I am 21. I am not muscular and am fat(25% on those scales that measure body fat percentage). I am wondering if doing exercise will make my face lose weight. If it can't is surgery the only option? Please I really want to as I have a low self-esteem. I am 15.
Height/Weight ......whatever question? Im 19, im 6'4'' and roughly 220lbs, I ve created a workout routine for myself which I follow daily eg. 5 mile uphill run w/ machine weights and free weights and whatnot. I know my body fat is under 7% although BMI index calculators say its overweight, i Dont get it, are they accurate?? and also I know shorter ppl have the advantage to get bigger quicker, Ive just started working out last year for boxing and Im not totally sure if my weight goes with the height...???
