body fat scale reviews

Is it possible to lose body fat % without losing any weight on the scale?

I am 10kg overweight and in my first week I have lost no weight but 1.5% body fat?? How is this possible ?

  1. The only thing you could of done is build the same weight in muscle as fat you lost. Which is good. Typically it is very difficult to both lose weight and build muscle at the same time, if either are your goal. Doing one or the other seperatly is more efficient, but hey results are results.
  2. whenever you work out you build muscle mass...and muscle weighs more than fat. so you'll look trimmer, eventually, but you might not loose any "weight." good luck!!!
  3. It is absolutely possible to stay the same weight but have less fat! The weight you lost in fat has been gained in one of two things: water/fluids (particularly if you've been eating salty food) or muscle! Muscle weighs more than fat (muscle is denser, more weight in smaller space), which means that you can theoretically stay the exact same weight on the scale but go down dress sizes! If its water, then go easy on the salty food and make sure you drink plenty (2L) of water. This may seem counter-intuitive, but if you drink less water your body goes into water stress and retains more! So, even if its water retention, drink more water! Also, for ladies, "that" time of the month can cause a small amount of temporary weight gain. Good luck :)
