How can I find out my body fat percentage?
Is there any good websites where it calculates it for you?

- you need an underwater test for an accurate number, but why do you care? the number is meaningless
- http://www.iwantsixpackabs.com/ I use this one - I also do some of the exercises, I don't have a six pack (I'm a girl and I'd prefer not to have one) but I have a nice neat tum after following the interval training and some of the stomach exercises. kez x
- Go to killerinfo.com it is a good search engine and it categorizes your results... far better than google..on so many levels seach stuff relating to what you want

- No, you have to be measured to do that. You can get some fat% calipers online or you can go to the gym and have one of the trainers check it for you. And for the ones telling you to check your BMI, please don't. Its crap science and a lousy way to check your level of wellness.

- Well, you can calculate your bmi online. You just have to know your height and weight. This is your body mass index. Careful though, if you are athletic or have more muscle then it may be innacurate as to judging whether you are a 'healthy' weight. People who do consistent sports can weigh MUCH more than those that dont. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/
- You have to be tested to get a legitimate appraisal. A health club can probably do it. My guess you're slender and it really doesn't matter so you don't want to pay the money. If you want less fat then build muscle. Lift weights. etc.
- body fat percentage is NOT meaningless, online bmi calculators are. skin pinch tests by trainers at gyms seem to be fairly accurate at measuring body fat percent.
- http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living/your_weight/bmimetric_index.shtml As already stated bear in mind it's a fairly pointless figure. Very muscular people can also fall into the very obese category. http://www.dietandfitnesstoday.com/bmiathletes.php
- Actually, Walmart, Target, and most stores such as these sell bathroom scales with bodyfat analyzers built into them for right around $40. They're fairly easy to use. First you input some information about yourself (height, age, sex, physical build)... they can usually store infor for several users. Then, when you step on the scale it has metal sensors which take reading of your body's resistance. With all that info it is able to calculate your bodyfat within a negligable margin of error. Mine not only gives me my bodyfat, but also calculates the number of calories my body requires at rest per day... and a couple other numbers which I can't remember at this time. But that's just the easiest/cheapest way to monitor your bodyfat from day to day. I suppose you could go spend a couple hundred dollars to get a test done in a tank of water everytime you want to check it... (or just step on the 40 dollar scale before you get in the shower every day... hmmm.....)
- You don't need underwater weighing to get an accurate body fat percentage and it's NOT a meaningless measurement! Body composition (percent body fat - not to be confused with BMI) is one of the four components of physical fitness as defined by the American College of Sports Medicine. Skin calipers are the most accurate after underwater weighing when used by an experienced tester. A certified health/fitness trainer (preferably certified by ACSM or AFAA) can do this for you or if you live near a university that has a health/fitness program, they can do it for you.
