Too much water kicks out nutrients right? So is it possible...?
Question: too much water, can that cause your body to think it's indanger and store fat? Facts- I've been drinking a lot of water in the past 3months. At least 2gallons of water a day. And all the excersize I would do is try to walk around my house for an hour.Just last week I started Excel gym and lifting weights and all that. But a month ago my scale read that I gained 2% body fat than previously. I was 21%fat 2 months ago but now i'm 23%. I don't drink water just because. I drink it because i'm always thirsty. And I have already been tested for diabeties twice previously. I'm Female,5ft 5inches tall,16years old and weigh 110lbs And I eat normally. I mean i'm eating the proper grains,veggies,fruits,etc.

- i dont think so. it does have an effect. too much water may dilite your blood. the best solution is to self restrain and control the amount of water you drink. well, good luck to you. hope everything is all right. ;)
- No...too much water doesnt kick out nutrients...Just drink a little less though. I dont think you need 2 gallons a day unless you live in a desert! The only way to leach nutrients would be to drink soft drinks
- From what I know, at that age and that height, 50 kilograms, or 110 pounds, is not actually overweight. And I'm not sure about this theory that water can drain out nutrients, I think if you eat a healthy enough diet, going thirsty probably isn't going to help you at all. By 'healthy enough diet', I'm not talking about all the weird stuff people are constantly buying books about, I'm just talking about common sense.
- Muscle weighs more than fat so you are probably going to gain a little weigh because of the exercise;however, muscle also looks better than fat so do not give up exercising. No the body will not think it is in danger and store fat because of water. If you get too much water in your system, you will only pee it out. By the by, you are just a little underweight you should weigh 100 for the 1st 5feet and 3-5 lbs depending on body type for each inch after than so you should weight between 115-125
- i'm no expert but the excess body fat could be a result of the body's bloating due to excess water. 2 gallons is a LOT of water, so there could be water retention messing with your readings. Most doctors recommend 8 glasses a day, which is about half a gallon. If exercising, you might need more. Try cutting back on water and see what happens.
