- Eat the right foods and exercise.
- You need to burn 3500 calories to lose one pound of fat. Eat less and excercise more!
- weight lifting
- spend more calories than the consumption, exercise for at least 20 minutes without stopping since the muscles need energy and seek the fat when you run out of your food's energy. make sure to drink some water before and after.
- run alot a other stuff.............
- I coach '93 boys selct soccer team. I am preparing them for high school. And I'll tell you what I have told them, work out, exercise, run and eat right. It is summer time, get off the computer and Y! Q&A and do this. Run 2 miles every Mon, Wed, Friday in the morning, by 9am. Not sure of your height/weight, but age 14, but you should run 2 miles no slower than 16 minutes. My best player is running 12 minutes for 2 miles. His target is 10:30 by end of summer. Also, on Tues and Thurs, do some workouts. Tuesday do upper body, curls, push ups, bench press, military press, Thursday should be lower body, leg curls, squats... you play soccer, you should building up those legs, calves, thighs. Now at night, say 7pm-9pm, work on soccer. Mon and Wed work on foot and dribbling drills. see my links below. on Tues and Thurs do shooting drills. Now, MOST IMPORTANT IS TO EAT RIGHT. After your morning runs or workouts, eat carbs (plain bagels) and plenty of juice, oranges are good for rehydrate and bananas prevent cramps (eat these at halftime during game also). After evening workouts, eat a big bowl of pasta and 1-2 grilled or boiled, skinless chicken breasts and some veggies. If you are serious, NO MORE SODAS (maybe 1 12ounce serving a week.) Cut the salt, potato chips, ice cream, junk food. Now, I have taken time to get you going as I took your question serious, now go make it happen, I promise by end of 4 weeks, you will begin losing fat weight and will gain muscle weight. Let me know of your progress. Also, I would supplement a high calorie, high carb drink. The powders from GNC taste awful, so mix in a little frozen yogurt, a banana and some ice. Mix with 2% milk and have a nice milkshake. I also told my team this: there are 150 kids their age in our town that play soccer. There are only 4 high schools/4 soccer team, or roughly 80 positions. Of those 80, 75 will be taken by returning seniors, juniors and maybe 4 by sophomores. This means there are 5 slots for 150 freshman, not to mention the upperclassmen that are going to tryout again. Statistically, you have less than 1% chance of making high school team and even less than that to play college ball. Why say this? Not to deter, but to motivate you. You want this, then you gotta work hard for it.
