Quickest/easiest way to lose body fat ??

I have a big occasion coming up, and I've seem to gone up a dress size. I'm 170cm tall and weight about 143 lbs. I'm not so worried about how much I actually weigh, I just want to lose body fat on my upper arms and my hips and stomach and be slightly more toned. What would be the best way to do this to target these specific areas, and what kind of foods should I be eating? I don't want to go on a major diet, just eat healthier and in moderation. Any tips?

  1. Bad news first- you aren't likely to be able to target where you're going to lose your weight. Best strategy is to workout, focusing on those areas to tone and develop the underlying muscles. As for foods- it's pretty simple, and we all know it: 1- Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Seriously, it's nearly impossible to eat too much fruits and veggies. You'll want to limit starchy veggies like corn, potatoes, beans and all, but more important is to limit the things we put on veggies, like butter or cheese. 2- A little chicken breast (skinless) or seafood for protein is good, especially if you're going to exercise, but most folks eat way more protein then they're ever gonna need. A pack of playing cards is all the meat you'll need for a typical day, unless you're going into major body-building. Again, watch out what you put on the meats. 3- Moderation, if not elimination, on most everything else. Grains (like bread) should be whole grain, if you need to have a sandwich or slice of toast. Best tip I had for my weight loss (down 70 lbs.) was this: The easiest way to cut the calories of any meal in half, is to put half the serving into a doggie bag before you even take a bite. You get leftovers for another day, and still get to eat the stuff you like.
