Help Me Win a Weight Loss Competition - What Should I Do?! 10pts best answer!?
Ok, so we weigh-in today. I'm going up against two guys considerably taller and bigger (fatter) than me. Basically the person who loses the most body fat percentage wins the competition and bragging rights around the office (another prize yet to be determined). I gotta win this - so I need help! What works best and fastest - we have 2 months! I'm female, mid(ish) 20's....approximately 148-150 lbs and a bit over 5'3.....maybe closer to 5'4. I'm planning to just go crazy drinking water and eating properly, but what would be an ideal diet? What exercises would be best at burning the fat quickly? (I do have access to a gym) What else should I be thinking about here or taking into consideration?! Thanks so much! Yes, we are specifically measuring our body fat percentage....not just stepping on a scale, so gaining weight is fine, as long as its muscle and not fat. - Well take advantage of the gym! Exercise for at least 30 minutes 5-6 days a week-do weight training for 3-4 days cardio for 3-6 days cardio can be anything from walking to biking, to swimming-just stay active. To keep you motivated and not bored in the gym do different cardio eat time-and get some fast paced music to listen to! Eating: stay away from fast food, snacking: Eat more fruits, veggies, yogurt, you get the idea-There is no ideal diet out there-because different one suit different people but focus on not eating until you're full-don't eat 2nds no matter what, when you feel like snacking try to put it off for 10 minutes and do something else-or go for a walk. Good luck!
- I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com
- first of all. drink alot of water today so that when you weigh in you will weigh more. even just a quart of water will add 2lbs. on the scale. more if you can.(you'll just pee it out after weigh in,so instant weightloss) all things being equal ,men generally lose more lbs. and taller people have an easier time losing weight than short people.it has to do with bigger surface area to disapate heat. debateable as to what the fastest and best is. my suggestion would be to do circuit training. every other day. too much exercise stresses the body out and cause the body to not lose weight. any extra normal pace movement you can do during the day will burn extra calories. just more steps or even fidgeting. and i personally drink a gallon of ice water a day when i am trying to lose weight. it is called superhydration. each oz. of ice water takes one calorie for the body to heat it up inside the body. and it also curbs hunger.i weigh 200lbs. and eat 1500cal or less a day in 5 minimeals and i'm not very hungry and i think it's because of the water. and if you overeat a couple of times during the next 2 months. big deal. just get back on track the next day. don't beat yourself up over it. you can safely eat between 1100 and 1300 cals a day for the next 2 months(if you wanted to do it) and would probably lose between 15 and 20lbs. (i'm just going by the data in the book that shows the results of women who did it)// //// are you using a scale that measures bodyfat%. if so then you definitely don't want to do much cardio while losing weight because you will lose alot more muscle too. i suggest either just a short strength training or short circuit training of no more than 30mins. because there is a chance that a person can lose alot of weight and change the bodyfat % very little because of muscle loss while losing weight.
