Whats an effective way to measure body fat?

No calipers or online tests, is there a scale that measures it and is it effective?

  1. Yes there is a scale. It measures weight, body fat, and body hydration. It is selling for about $25 in places like Bed, Bath, Beyond. It is THINNER model TH402 by Conair. It seems to work correctly (had one for a half year so far). It does 4 separate users and keep their stats separate.
  2. The only accurate way is with equipment that costs a considerable amount of money; ask your doctor about it. There are some calipers that CLAIM to be almost as accurate, but weighing scales or online tests will have a HUGE margin of error.
  3. There are three ways to measure your body fat 1. Body fat measure calipers. This is what most professionals use and involves pinching your fat/ skin in several places around your body and then measuring how much you have pinched using the caliper. 2. Home body Fat Scales This is the easiest way of measuring your body fat, however, they are not as accurate as the calipers. To improve the accuracy of these scales, you should * Not eat or drink for at least 4 hrs before. * Do not exercise for 12 hrs prior to taking the test 3. Hydrostatic This is the most accurate way of measuring the body fat, but unfortunately it also is the least practical one! This method is what the experts use to measure the body fat accurately.
