How long would it take me to achieve my ideal body fat percentage %?
I am 5'3 or 163 cm and weigh 140 pounds. My body fat percentage is 32, I am 20. I would love to drop down to 120 pounds and reduce my body fat % to between 20-22. I have recently joined a gym and do 45mins cardio and 30mins weight 5-6 days a week. How long would it take me to drop to that % and what would i ideally have to do? Thanks :):)

- I teach my own weight loss program. First, your workout is too intense. No matter what your gym is teaching you. Then, you do not mention what your diet consists of. More specifically, is it processed and/or restaurant food? Your body needs to rest and be given the opportunity to heal. Are you aware there are studies proving such an intense workout not only attacks weight, but also the heart? If you eat non processed foods and totally avoid the 5 chemicals in our food that mess with your ability to metabolize fat, a safe rate should not exceed 2 pounds per week. It is dangerous and counterproductive to lose lots of weight in short periods of time. Your body is marvelous in that it knows what it needs to survive. Sudden weight loss, harsh diets, denial of nutrients can cause the body to sense a drought and start storing calories resulting in the return of pounds/ or failure to lose weight at all.
