  1. you can't join at 14. and you should try to keep your body fat below 15%
  2. well you need to be 18 to join but it 26% bodyfat if you never served in the military... and 23% if you have served before
  3. below 20
  4. Your body fat is measured in the military buy age, waist, neck, body weight, and height. Right now being 14, is a bit early to even worry about, you have three more years before you can even enlist in the military. Marine Corp max is 18%
  5. That's is hard to answer. The military test their body fat by measuring the waist (circumference around the belly button) and the circumference around the neck (around the larynx). they subtract the Neck from the waist and get a number, then they look at a chart and math that number to you height. that gives them a body fat percentage. I am not sure what they consider over weight; however, the in the Marine Corps, anything over 18% body fat is consider over weight. The Army has more relax standards then the Marines. What you can do is look up on the internet and find out what the weight standards for the Army. I believe that to go to boot camp you can be a little over weight because you will loose most of that weight when you go through boot camp. You can google the weight standards or check out military.com. Good luck to you.
