body fat scale reviews

Question about my body fat percentage?

I'm a 14 year old female, 5'6 and a half, and i weigh just a little bit less than 130. I'm pretty active and eat extremely healthy, today for P.E. we had to get our body fat percentage calculated, my teacher used this little scale thing taht first told us our weight and then our body fat, mine said 26%. . . . . I personally think thats way too high. But is that healthy for my age and weight and activity level? and how accurate are those scales? thanks(:

  1. First off that isnt the most active scale at determining how much fat you have... But techinically 25% is supposed to be obese for women:/... wouldnt really worry about it though
  2. I don't trust the scales to meausure body fat, callipers are better. However 26% body fat is still healthy for a girl your age, but it might be higher than you'd like if you are very active and work out a lot. Basically for a girl your age 16%-19% body fat is athletic, 20%-24% is optimal and 25%-28% is average.
