Is being 5"5 with a weight of 112 lbs. and BMI (body mass index) of 18.6 considered as fat?

Is being 5"5 with a weight of 112 lbs. and BMI (body mass index) of 18.6 considered as fat??? And is it in the chubby category already???

  1. FAR from fat Anything below 18.5, is UNDERWEIGHT If anything you are underweight!
  2. Absolutely not, being chubby and fat has nothing to do with a BMI number, it has to do with how well your body is in reality, not a number randomly made up. Consider this, a fat person who eats all the bad foods, and a fit person who exercises can both have the same BMI, but it doesn't mean they are the same does it? As long as you are fine with yourself and know you aren't messing up your body, that is more than any number can tell you.
  3. you're fine =] anything under 18.5 is considered underweight .. so ur not even close to fat!!
  4. This is how the Body Mass index works. 18.5 or lower-Underweight 18.6-24.9- Normal Above 25-Overweight and so on and so on Edit: Just for the record, persons with alot of muscle are most likely going to have a BMI over 25.
