Are on-line Body Fat Percentage Calculators Accurate?
I was just wondering how accurate they were as, although they take into account frame size and height, they do not take into account muscle mass. TIA.

- nope
- No they are not. My aerobics teacher is pure muscle and it said she had 28% fat.
- For me, I think it came out slightly higher than what I really am, so I wouldn't put a lot of faith into them. Take the test and see where you stand. If you aren't built like a linebacker, assume that it is a half way decent estimate. But again, it's only an estimate. To get a realistic value, have someone do a body fat analysis either using skin calipers or using a body fat scale. I have one that I bought for around $50 and it seems to be reasonably accurate.
