I need to lose fat (not weight) and build muscle quickly?
Okay, so its not major life or death, but Im going on holiday in about two/three weeks, and I really want to feel good about my body. I am not overweight, I am roughly 11stone something and infact on those BMI calculators, i was healthy, nearly the one below, towards unhealthy! But i do have quite a fair amount of fat on me, mainly in the place that you would call the love handle area! Now anyway to burn this off, and build muscle? Without trying to lose weight? Any eating tips or workout plans for quick results, and prehaps longer term ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

- Hum this tune "Lets get Physical, physical, I wanna get physical" with the voice of Olivia in your mind. You are slowing down. It happens. Got to do more lifting, flexing, twisting...work those muscles in that area so the muscles burn up the fat energy there. Enough with the sitting already. Or haven't you noticed that already? You stop for a coffee, for 5 after doing a chunk of work, or you got a "joe boy" to do the menial tasks for you "cause you know how to do those tasks - you are smarter - you work less physically than you did before. Results more fat. Time to run around like a "chicken with its head cut off". Do, do, do. Eating wise, eat protein moreso than carbs as that will require your bod metabolism to run at a higher rate. Also fruits and veges(avoiding processed carbs such as breakfast cereals, sugar products-choc bars-doughnuts-cream pies(once in awhile as a treat-like Mom fed you- is OK."Damn that sweet tooth anyways" Lets put it this way.....I worked as a swamper for a box store manually hand unloading 2 semi trailers a day (1200pces ave). There was alot of repetative motion -lifting,turning,pulling,heaving,hoeing, crawling, shoving utilizing alot of midsection muscles. It was better than any gym, and I got paid to do it. Was in great shape. I say was, as that was a while back and a few jobs ago. Now I don't move as much, sit more often and use my head. The handles develop. Eating as much as I did when I was "working out" does not help. Change by eating less, but higher quality food. A T-bone steak over 5 lbs of hamburger meat. Prepare your meals from scratch(raw veges to cook) instead of out of a box or a restaurant. Stay active - get away from the computer---it is just another TV set. Same goes for the car. Hope this helps. I know it is easier said than done.
- Have your breakfast i.e. Cereal and fruit then within half an hour take a ephedrine tablet. Then every 3-4hours take another untill tea time comes. Then have a high protein meal i.e tuna steak with vegtables. But do your weight training hard and heavy make sure you walk out of that gym with your muscles havin shakes then you now they are building. Do this for 2weeks and i guarantee you will look better 100%. Ephedrine will stop you eating during the day so the only food you will be comsuming will be protein and carbs so you will get your energy of the carbs for training and the protein for your muscles to feed on. let me no your thoughts. thanks
- To lose fat you need to do cardio. To add muscle you need to train with weights. So you have 2 different regimes there, and you will need to balance them. To begin with, I'd do a week with high intensity cardio for 3/4 of your gym session and 1/4 medium weights. This will start getting the body into fat losing mode and will also start to tone the muscle. In the second week go 50/50 high intensity cardio and heavy weights (you only need to do 3 sets of 5 reps at a heavy weight to add muscle). Finally, in the third week go 1/3 high intensity cardio and 3/4 heavy weights. Good luck.
