I feel so weak..?
I've been having huge problems with my self image and my self control..Please don't answer if you're going to be rude.. I feel really really fat. The body index that's normal is like..21 and I am 21...But I have a lot of fat. I can hold it in my hand...I went up a pant size over the past few weeks, and I can't stop eating. Every time I eat I seriously cry because I know I'm making my body worse. But I just can't stop..I live in a house where no one eats healthy...the average diet is pizza rolls and diet cherry coke...which is horrible, but I LOVE it..Like, if it's there I will eat it. And my sister will always want it there..so I can't stop...I have no self control..I wake up at night, and eat..it might be stress...Because I don't live with my real family anymore..My dad and mom split up, i was living with my mom..Then I moved in with my dad who lives wth his parents...then I moved back to my mom's...and now to my friends..I don't know if this has anything to do with it..please help me...I desperately want to lose weight..but I don' t think I can... I seriously think I'm giong to turn anorexic or bulimic..

- its a bad habit. you just need take a deep breath and not eat stuff you know is bad for you. ask your parents to buy healthier food so when your hungry you can grab something healthy instead of pizza. it will be really hard at first but once you break the habit it will get easier.
- Girl..just find a gym. Working out actually RELIEVES stress..AND encourages you to eat healthy because since you feel so good when you finish excercising, you just feel like you want to keep this feeling by eating something good. The plus side to it is that you get TONED up too! Whenever you feel stress...workout..chew gum..SOMETHING. Becoem addicted to something thats not harmful. My teacher used to smoke alot! But to overcome it..everytime he had the urge to smoke..he chewed regular gum. Now he's addicted to gum..but it is way better for him that smoking! You can even find an afterschool activity to get away from the drama!! You'll have a great support group too since yoi become really close with the afterschool group..and it sort of becomes ur haven. Start to paint..paint out ur frustration..u might find ur hidden talent! Listen to some music! I recomment reggae music1 It will def. make you feel better. Try the reggae artist sizzla: solid as a rock That song always keeps me feeling great! If it is stress..try to get away from it by doing these things!
- Sounds like your eating emotionally to fill a void your feeling. Sounds like the situation and living arrangements between your parents is also contributing to your problem. By the sounds of your BMI and the fact that it is normal, I can't say you sound like you'll be anorexic. If your self-vomiting then I'd say you are at increased risk of becoming bulimic. It is alright to indulge in some of your favorite foods, just try to find a level of moderation. Maybe take up some kind of activity so that you can so called have your cake and eat it too. This will ensure that you don't gain weight. If your issues with your parents or fears about turning towards an eating disorder to cope becomes to much to bear then I strongly suggest that you find a school counselor or even a therapist to talk with. The earlier the better.
- I have had the same feeling for a couple months now... We just have to do it. I have been telling myself this now for a couple weeks. But I need to just start. I used to run and walk a lot and do taebo and use my ab lounger. I am just going to start all of that again. I have not been eating at night if I wake up though. Try getting a glass of water. Water is so important. I have started to drink more of it. Sometimes when we think we are hungry our boby really just wants water. Buy those smartones meals, but only eat one. Get some yogart and put honey in it and eat a cup in the evning for a snack. this is what I am going to start to do. Hope this helps.
- You have probably tried to stop eating for a while and got no results so you feel helpless and you might not think you have self control but you do. if you want this really bad you WILL make it happen. You should imagin how you would look and feel 20 pounds lighter and that will motivate you to lose weight. everytime you are about to pick up something thats not healthy tell yourself no and go get something thats healthy. its easier said than done but its all in your mind. its mind over matter. you have to tell yourself positive things because the more you tell yourself your fat and ugly and whatever else you think you are the more you are going to feel it. Keep doing this for a while and try to get a little bit of excerize in here and there and dont give up just because you dont see results because TRUST ME all the hard work you put it is not going to be for nothing. Be Strong and when you get stressed out dont give up and go back to your old ways. you can do this i KNOW you can. think about this one day maybe in a couple of months years whatever you are going to be looking back like wow i thought i couldnt do this. and its not only about how you look its all about how you feel and your health. My sister was always an overweight child and one day a boy at school called her fat and ugly after that day she cut off junk food completely started playing sports and now she looks great and i give her a lot of credit because she didnt sit there feeling sorry for herself she got up and did something and you could doo it too. another good way is to write yourself a letter describing how you feel and read it every morning to remind yourself that you don't ever want to feel like that again. its going to take some time but keep your head up because life is too short. one more thing...you should keep a daily record of what you eat or of what you should eat that day and stick to it..
- well sweetheart its all about self controll. you said you have none but you should start with little thing to build it up like keeping things clean, or try to help someone everyday, or recycling et cetra. so that maybe later you can work your way up to ONLY eating when you are VERY hungry. i only eat when i think that my body has used some of the calories and all that unhealthy crap thats in the last meal i had, or if i am so hungry that i think im going to puke(with exception to holidays then i stuff my face). i am 5foot 8 inches 157lbs and i have a 30 inch waste. if you are stressed out eating habitually is a problem, i almost started doing that but i stopped myself. what you can do to releive stress and lose weight is excersize! i reall want you to work on self discipline though. if you have that you can make yourself to be absolutely ANYTHING you want within your bounderies of course. if you keep the habbit you have you will soon if not already have developed some seriousely dangerouse diseases. everytime you think you want something to eat because you just want it, ask yourself if you cant wait a few more minutes or hours if your brave. if you can hold off, DO IT!!!! anything you want to do you have to push yourself just a little harder than you want to. then later when you want to do something else you can do it better and continue to push yourself harder. youll get better and better at whatever it is!
