Where can u check your body fat percentage?

I'm 15 years old, 5'11" 148lbs and kind of chubby, after losing my fat i wanna start bulking up. Is there anyway to check my bodyfat percentage without going to a doctor or specialist?

  1. Alot of gyms will offer a measuring of BMI (Body Mass Index--your percentage of body fat to body mass). HOWEVER, be aware that BMI was originally created by a MATH specialist, NOT a HEALTH specialist and though it is a good indicator of your body mass, it is NOT a good indicator of whether or not you're actually HEALTHY. Please please PLEASE do not get caught up in the common issues right now in the weight loss and management field that states you have to be at "2-8% BMI to look great!".... because its frankly a lie. What you want is tone, not bulk of muscle... so try some exercise routines that DO that! Yoga is fantastic and has beneficial mental effects as well. Also, Tai Chi is another that will help you tone, as well as having good balancing mental effects AND it can even lead to an understanding of the martial arts that can be used later for self-defense if required. So look for things that will help you over all---not just give you "pretty numbers." Good luck!
