Body fat?? Help me please??
I got my body fat checked and I'm 23.8%...i'm 5'5 and 117lbs, so i'm already at a good weight, but how can i drop my body fat to 22%? if i start strength training, how long will it take? will i have to diet as well? btw, i'm 24, never had kids and very small framed, (i was 140lbs with a body fat of 30% once a few years back and the doc told me that anything over 135lbs would be considered overweight for me because i'm naturally small boned).

- 117 lbs and 22 percent is healthy for women. If you want to look healthy and lower your bodyfat you will need to incorporate proper nutrition, resistance training 3 times a week and cardiovascular work 2 - 3 times a week. The key to this is proper nutrition, low fat diet and the proper amount of calories. http://www.personalfitnessforyou.com
- Carrdio training will maximize your results it is ideal for acheving your best results. Begin to walk or jog a mile day and work your way up. Check out proper footwear and get into it you will love the results.
- Definitely do some cardio, but also incorporate some weight training. This will decrease the fat and increase the muscle. Don't worry though if you weight actually increases, because muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are 117 now, you may end up being 120, but body fat of 22% or 21%. Good luck!
- 24% body fat is good, but if you want to drop it down to 22% you will probably need to lose a little bit of fat and gain a little bit of muscle. You shouldn't drop your calories below 1,500 and eat plenty of protein as well as doing strength training at least 3 times per week.
- Don't worry about it. Just exercise and eat sensibly, and your weight will stabilize at a level that is right for you.
- You need to do a lot of exercise to accelerate your metabolism. It's better if you do cardiovascular exercise, because this kind of exercise helps you burn fat... You should begin with a good eating plan, combining fats and sweets with fruits and vegetables. It will be better if you drink at least eight glasses of water daily to control your calories and your cholesterol. If you want you can use some pills to control your weight and to accelerate the process of burning fat. I know some pills which you can use to reduce your weight. Those pills are Xenical and Hoodia. Their results are excellent and fast.
