When they take blood for Mono, do they check for drugs?

My doctor took blood to test for mono, do they check for drug use? Also, if they find out i did smoke, can they tell my parents without breaking confidentiality? And I smoked Saturday and theyre testing on a sunday, it was my first time. Im very skinny, only 4% body fat.

  1. you're busted Cheech
  2. First question, no they do not test for drugs. You have to sign a consent (or your parents if you are underage) for that test to be done and it has to be requested by one of the parties. It is actually illegal for the doctor to tell your parents any of your results without your express permission as long as you are over I do believe 16, depends on your state laws.
  3. Not usually unless they have some reason to. If the test is at your doctor's office because you've been sick they'll test for mono. Mono is a virus and you test for it in the blood. Not sure if they could tell your parents. I guess it would depend on your age.
  4. If they are testing for only mono then that's all they are going to get. But, if it isn't mono they may do more testing on the blood to check your cell count levels, etc. And if you are under 18, doctors can tell your parents anything regarding your health buddy.
  5. yes, you are so screwed.
  6. First...Unless your parents request it, then the hospital will not test for it. Second....STOP smoking whatever you are smoking....look at you ..all scared about your parents finding out...then why do you do it??? ...you dummy. How bad would your parents feel if they do ever find out and truuuuuust parents always find out..Since it was your first time you should keep it that way...FIRST AND LAST. Dont be a sheep (a follower)...think for yourself and dont let others influence you.
