- Put down the twinkies, and light beer from now on. You sound hot.
- cardio...cardio and more cardio...
- 30 is not so bad is it?
- 30% body fat at 138 and 5'5" sounds a little funny for someone active. I mean 125-135 is a healthy weight for someone your height and you are right about there. Have someone else check your body fat...if it is still 30%, maybe I could suggest some resistance training to build muscle. That will help burn fat when you aren't doing cardio. Oh, and also, duration is the key. 0-20 min cardio you burn 20% fat, 80%carbs, 20-40min 50%/50% and 40-60min+ you burn 20% carbs and 80% fat. You'll feel and look GREAT~
- My family and I have been using the best cleansing technology...:)the first time I did it, I lost 16 pounds in 9 days:)...check out this site....w w w .cleansewithcgnj .com It will change your life:) the main reason for obesity in this country is because of all the toxins we ingest on a day to day basis.....When you ingest a toxin, the liver takes a fat cell and surrounds the toxin to protect it from your vital organs.....That’s why traditional diets do not work....they don't get rid of the toxins....so your body refuses to shed the fat....So, when you do this cleanse and get all the toxins out of your system, the body recognizes this and begins to shed the fat....
- Quit almost all carbs except a small amount less than 100g per day of complex carbs. Eat lean chicken breasts, fish, protien shakes, vegetables, water. Workout with weights and cardio 4 times a week for at least an hour.
- Take in less fat and carbs. Eat lots of fruit and veggies, drink lots of water. Increase activity
- It just may be exactly what you are doing at the gym and how long, also women that are pre-menopausal start to hold on to body fat so you do have to work harder. There is a book by Debra Waterhouse, " Out smarting the female fat cell", it is an excellent book on eating healthy but not starving or omitting all foods and it explains exactly how the female fat cell is designed. I would check it out in the library and see if you like it before buying it.
- Best way in my opinion is to screw a lot. Not only will you burn the calories but will help to tone your stomach muscles, and keeps you flexable.
- What method did you use to test your bodyfat? Don't go by those handheld gizmos. Get your bodyfat tested by a trained professional with calipers. After that write back.
- How about yoga or pilates? ( *v* )
- 30% body fat is not that terrible, especially at 40 years old. Even though you are very active, as you get older you tend to lose muscle and gain fat in it's place. If you want to lose a little body fat and gain some muscle mass, that would be fine to improve your overall health and fitness. I would recommend strength training as well as cardio and make sure you are eating enough protein and good carbs. HTH : )
