Body fat percentage?
Do u ppl think my body fat percentage is too much.I am 170 lbs,14.6% body fat.I think its too much body fat percentage for a man who workout 6 times a week.what u ppl think? Lowering body fat percentage is the hardest thing of all workout. The easiest thing i find in my training is increasing bicep size. i want it to be 7-9% so i can have 6 pack abs. i am 17 years old,5.7 ft,170 lbs.

- That is pretty low. To be a state troop at 25 it has to be less than 25%
- 14.6 body fat is not all that bad. i mean its about average. but if you work out 6 times a week than maybe you should try doing more aerobic excersices than anerrobic ones. that might help you
- only professional body builders have 7-8% body fat. professional basketball players have on average 12-16% body fat.
- Depending on age, in males between 12-20% bodyfat is considered healthy and normal, so I'd say you're fine. You're right, getting it down from where you are now is challenging, but doable. If you're working out now, try increasing intensity a bit, but reduce your carb intake a little at a time each week. Keep protein and (good) fat levels the same. You'll find that "sweet spot" one week where you'll notice you're retaining lean muscle but losing bodyfat. Really, the best thing to do is to keep a daily log of your diet, and know what it is you're eating.
- It seems that you have no fat. because 14.6% is not visible. You should measure it again. You might be wrong......
- you did not say your age but even for a teen to early 20's by today's standards it's below average. if you were my client I would encourage you go decrease it to 10-11%.
- Not at all, your body fat percentage is just about ideal. Unless you want to be really ripped, then just stay as you are to be slim and healthy. HTH : )
