body fat scale reviews

I have the body fat percentage of an OBESE person!!! Help me!!!?

I am 21 years old, 5'4", and 115 pounds....I did this thing online where you enter your hip, waist, wrist, and forearm measurements, and it said that I have a body fat percentage of 32%!!! THEN it said that 32% is what OBESE people have!! I knew I had kind of a flabby body, but I had no idea that I was made of that much fat!! I'm scared! What can I do to get rid of my body fat? I've already started running for 30-45 minutes every day since last week....what else can I do? This is the website I got it from: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/ I entered 115 pounds for weight, 24.5" for waist, 5.5" for wrist, 37" for hips, and 9" for forearm.

  1. You're fine, don't worry. Just do a simple BMI test online with your weight and height. Being 5'4" and 115 pounds seems ideal to me, actually. Although I don't know you, I know that that is not obese. No worries! ;-)
  2. I have answered those too.. I think there crazy.. It says I am 5'5" and weigh 125 lbs. and 15yrs and says that too. I think its crazy. I don't know though
  3. For your height, your weight is good. You just need to exercise. And maybe you entered some info wrong? Be sure you are eating 3 meals and 2 snacks, and drinking plenty of plain water.
  4. What the hell. I have no idea what someone of 5'4'' should weigh, but 115 pounds is certainly not "obese". This wasn't a site selling slimming products was it?
  5. eat less. for your height u should be 100 pounds. maybe even less. i am 5'7 and 120 and i am not thin. want to lose till i am your weight - that will make me perfect. u lose at least till 100
  6. you are still small!! just do aerobics that will tightn you up and use the small weights.
  7. Often it's fooled because your flab might settle in the waist area or something and thinly everywhere else and when you weigh yourself, that's the muscle too, remember. They're flawed online, but if you're not happy with your body, exercise and eat healthier (though you sound ideal to me!)
  8. you are considered skinny fat. you need to speak to your doctor immediately and make sure you get tested for diabetes and anything else that may have crossed your mind. what was the website you went to?
  9. First of all, those online body fat tests are not particualrly accurate, in fact I found one in particular calculator that said 32% no matter what details you entered into it! I have 25% body fat, which I had measured professionally, but some of those online tests have said I have over 30% body fat and some said under 20% body fat, they just can't be trusted for an accurate estimate of your body fat levels. If you want to know your true body fat percentage, then have it measured professionally, either by a doctor or a gym professional. If your body fat levels truly are that high, then it's probably more a case of not having enough muscle mass than having too much body fat. Average woman have typically between 18%-32% body fat. Take care : )
  10. no need to worry, i think you took measurements wrong or something, 5'4 and 115 pounds is not bad at all.
  11. cut out any liquid calories.. especially soda - EVEN DIET SODA. (or any other drinks that use artificial sugars to make it low calorie)
  12. You are definitely NOT obese. If you were to calculate your BMI (which is also never acurate because it does not include fat to muscle ratios), you are at a BMI of 19.7 which is at the LOW spectrum of normal! You are NOT fat and you are certainly NOT obese. The only thing you should worry about is how you feel about yourself. If you are uncomfortable with your weight, then go for a run . If you are still worried, try adding weights...you'd be surprised how much better you feel when you have some toned muscle! PLEASE do not think you are overweight because of something you did on the internet. If you really feel worried, go to your doctor. He or she will tell you that you are well within the normal limits of your weight and would be crazy to try to lose any! I hope I have helped.
