How can I find out the percentage of my body fat?
I want to know what percentage of my body is fat and what percentage is muscle. Is there any way to calculate this information on the computer rather than using expensive machines that are only available to the seventh graders and up at my school. If there are any RELIABLE websites that allow you to do this, PLEASE let me know as as soon as you read this question. Thanks, ♥audrey♥

- There's really no way to calculate your body fat percentage without equipment. One way to calculate body fat is the calipers test, usually found at health and fitness centers. Someone uses a small machine that looks like tongs to pinch different parts of your body. If the person is experienced, the margin of error is less than 2%, if the person is unexperienced the margin can go up as high as 16%. Found at doctor's offices and maybe possible to get if you ask, are tests on what looks like a scale. It tells your weight and then estimates, keyword "estimates", your body fat. Some don't, though. The one at my doctor's clinic measures exactly. More expensive, but extremely reliable, is the "bod-pod". It's not widespread, but you get into what looks like a spaceship escape pod and a machine calculates your body fat percentage. It's usually reserved for the morbidly obese.
