losing 13-15 pounds in 7 weeks...possible?

I'm 5'5 and I weigh 133pounds, small-medium body frame...measurements are 32/34C-28-37....i'd like to lose a couple of inches especially off my waist...so i'd like to lose about 13 pounds in 7 weeks and get down to 120 pounds by new year....is this possible? its weird but according to my body fat percentage (i got it check at my gp's office), my gp says its pretty high though it doesnt show on the outside! i'm on a diet now and i vary each day between 1100 to 1200 kcal...i also jog for about 30-40mins 5 times a week....is this ok? what should i do if i hit a plateau? any tips? thanks :) PS. I used to be overweight when i was a teen then four years ago through exercise and dieting I got down to 130-something pounds...problem is i can't seem to get any lower...this must be the plateau thing goin on...i'd really like to lose the last 10-15 pounds to reach my ideal...my bone frame is smallish so 133 is abit heavy..... my body is weird...the ppl i know who are around my height and size usually weigh about 125 pounds...and yet i'm heavier...is the heaviness because of some internal fat or something...like arounnd my organs :s Kimmer K: I consume 1100 to 1200kcal...PLUS exercise...i jog or do some brisk walking for around 40mins so that would burn off around 200kcal almost daily...on days i don't feel like eating or i'll eat 100kcal, i take a break from exercise lol...not 100kcal..i meant 800 to 1000kcal (on days i dont exercise)

  1. The average person loses between 1-2 pounds a week. This is the safe way to lose. So I will say that it is possible.
  2. loose slower
  3. its possible I'd suggest consulting a doctor or personal trainer for help on doing it safe but regular diet and exercise could make a person lose about 2-4 pounds a week so your goal isn't that bad good luck
  4. I read in a Weight Watcher pamphlet that it's not healthy to lose more than a pound a week, but I have a friend who is on weight watchers and she averages 1.5 to 2 pounds aweek and she is healthy. It is possible, hun, but just don't starve yourself. Eat healthy foods, staying away from the fatty junk food and carbs, and exercise exercise exercise.
  5. If you weigh 133 pounds, then your daily calories are already around 1300-1500. If you reduce to 1200 calories that only a 100 calorie deficit. You need 3500 calories for each pound, so it will take about 455 days -- roughly a little over 1 year. No way 120 lb is happening by New Years.
  6. The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode. Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy. 7. Sometimes our body carries toxins that block our weight loss. Doing a cleanse can release these toxinshanging around in our fat cells and aide the body to lose weight if you are in fact overweight. The best I found is Isagenix. You can check it out here: www.subela.isagenix.com Good luck to you!
  8. Losing weight help lose weight fastWe get weight by eating extra calories and incorrect amount of macronutrients. There are two ways by which we can lose weight. * Eating less * Exercising more You know 1 gram of protein = 4 calories 1 gram of carbohydrates = 4 calories 1 gram of fat = 9 calories 1 pound of fat = 454 gram So 1 pound of fat = 9*454 = 4086 calories Note: Our body fat contains around 3500 calories, as 10% of it is water. So in order to lose a pound of fat (4086) in 2 weeks, we need to decrease calories consumption by 290 per day as 4096/14=290(approx) 15 minute of good exercise will help you in losing around 100 calories. So in order to lose 1 pound of fat in two weeks, we need to exercise for around 45 minutes (290 calories) if we do not want to make any changing in our eating habit. So just take care of the amount of calories in the food you take. The best idea for losing weight will be by cutting down the junk food with exercising. So greatest way to lose weight is a mixture of diet and exercise as exercise builds muscles, and bigger muscles burn more fat.
  9. Yes that is quite possible. If you are concerned with losing inches around your waist and decreasing your body fat you need to add strength training to your workout. On alternating days (i.e. Mon, Wed, Fri) do some light weight lifting and abs exercises. Muscle burns more calories than fat and will work to your advantage. Also make sure you are eating enough. If your body is not getting enough nutrients it will go into starvation mode and store food as fat. Continue your cardio routine adding strength training and even if you don't lose all the weight in 7 weeks you will definitely lose inches.
  10. i am 5 feet 3 inches and weigted 75 kg.please gelp me to reduce my self to 60kg
  11. That's two pounds per week and absolutely possible. Because you're not really overweight, just plumpish, it may slow down toward the end, but you can do it with lowering calories, exercise and NO sugar and NO fat. Oh, and you can never spot reduce, so don't worry about your waist. It will shrink with the rest of you. It may shrink last, but it will go down as much as any other spot.
