  1. i wuld say no. im 5'10" and weigh 145...just make sure you dnt eat too much of the wrong foods eat healthy foods that r good for you!
  2. You are in perfect shape IMO. The BMI does not calculate muscle mass, so dont go by the BMI calculator. Im fairly muscular and the BMI says Im over weight.
  3. You're 13. Your body is going to change a lot in the next 10 years so don't worry about today. Women's weight fluctuates regularly primarily due to water retention. Your body is very cyclical so you have some days where you'll have more water in your system than others. This is 99% of the fluctuation you're seeing. Don't be self conscious, be proud of who you are. Eat a balanced healthy diet and keep up the exercise and you'll have a long, healthy, fun life. Relax.
  4. You are not fat by any means! All 13 year old girls are self concious, especially about their weight. The "feeling fat" thing should fade with time. If it doesn't you should see a doctor before it develops into an eating disorder.
  5. Age does not matter in weight, it is height, body type that counts. You sound perfectly fine.
  6. I can totally relate. I'm 14 and am always worrying over my size. I do dance often too but I eat loads! But I guess we're just kids. For the moment it doesn't matter. We're like changing anyway so there's no point in fussing over appearances. I'm sorry I wasn't much help, but I'm in the same position as you! Respect yourself :D
  7. Well i am 5'2" and they say ideal weight for my height is 140 *~ so judging by your weight with your height i would say no your not fat*~ its normal to feel insecure about your weight*~ my weight always goes up about 5 pounds here and there but mainly stays at one weight also*~ Usually i gain about 5 - 6 pounds during the time of my period and then it goes back down ~ other reasons your weight may go up is because of what you ate that day*~ if you weighed yourself after eating or sometimes this may sound gross but if you weigh yourself before you have a bowel movement that will make you weigh more too*~ But no i don't think you are over weight and you sound like you are active*~ keep your chin up hun*~ Be comfortable with who you are*~! and remember ~* CONFIDENCE IS WHAT MAKES A GIRL SEXY*~ good luck*~!
  8. No way! I weigh slightly more than you, I'm the same height, I have a big appetite and do less exercise, and everyone calls me skinny and tells me to go and put on weight. Sounds like you've got the right balance!
  9. no def not fat.. im sure your gorgeous!
  10. There is no such thing as 'fat for your age', you're either overweight or you're not. if you're standing up, wearing jeans, and have even a small muffin top, you're overweight. maybe not overweight, but out of shape. If you are active and have great muscle tone, you will have a higher body weight than someone your height who is flabby and has no muscle tone. You can be thin and still be out of shape. Do some active work, walk, something. If you can't grab a handful of pudge when you sit down, don't worry about what people think. even so, don't worry anyways, because the only thing that matters ius your health and your feelings.
  11. for your age and height i would say your on the heavy side. I think you should stop eating so much and go on a nice diet. And probably the dance is not enough. You should try going on a tredmil or bike. If your trying to lose that side weight or a.k.a. "love handles". When your young its easy to lose weight so dont give up. And the key to losing weight is SWEAT! if you are dripping sweat then it is a awsome workout. --> talk to me anytime about this. trust me, i go through the same thing.
  12. That's not fat. If your BMI falls into a normal range, then you're fine. In comparison, I weight lift and exercise, but have just had a baby a few months back. I'm 5'2" and 175 lbs. According to BMI, I'm about 30 lbs overweight, at least. But, BMI does not take into account for muscle very well. If you are a dancer, are working out, etc, then you're going to be fine. If you're very worried (I still wouldn't be, personally), then try to eat smaller and healthier portions, healthy snacks, and see if you're eating because you're bored or have time on your hands, etc., or if you're really hungry. Another good way to help out is a meal plan, with healthy, filling foods. You must make sure, though, since you are physically active a lot of the time, that you don't go under your calorie recommendations too much, otherwise you'll starve yourself. That's my issue - I don't eat enough (though I exercise and eat healthy when I do), and so my body had been storing it. I've included a few links you might find helpful.
