  1. Woo South Beach! I'm 17 too and I do that! Once you get used to it it's no big deal. Meat is a main part of it and I'm a vegetarian and I still did it for around 9 months until now. If I can do it you can too! Don't even think about starving yourself, because then your hair and nails will fall out, you'll get dizzy, you grades will go into a freefall... Trust me I didn't eat much before either but the advantage of SB is that you keep you insulin levels low through keeping your carbohydrate levels low and that way you will help your chances of avoiding diabetes. My dad and my grandma are both diabetics so it's in my blood, and I fully intend to eat this way the rest of my life if I have to to avoid getting it. Cheers, hope I helped! Definitely do South Beach though. It is awesome.
  2. Yes you can go on a diet but ask your doctor if it is okay
  3. I think that the main thing is that if people eat healthy then their weights will naturally be healthy. The biggest problem is that people eat too much of the wrong foods. Stay away from anything fried, candy desserts and sugary foods, don't eat much white breads, pastas, or rice. Its good to eat a little bit of whole grains everyday, (with ingredients that say stone ground wheat), a small amount of meat or soy (boneless skinless and not breaded) fresh fruits and tons and tons of veggies. Many people eat more meat and and carbs than they are suppose to. Soda is really bad to have as well. I wouldn't worry about your weight too much, just start eating well, keep it up and it will happen naturally..Watch calorie counts on the nutritional info, stay away from trans fat because the body doesn't break it down well (fried fast foods, margarine, most processed peanut butter) Hopefully this was helpful..
  4. You should try i Diet and Fitness. You can easily lose 20 pounds with their diet plan and they teach you how to change your bad eating habits so that you can lead a healthier lifestyle. Plus, I think it's cheaper than South Beach. Check it out.
