How do I lower my body fat?
I only weigh 115 lbs, but I just calculated my body fat and it said 44% which is way too high. I'm 5'2'', 22 years old.

- I think that you must of miscalculated. At 5'2" 115 lbs should be in the normal range. I would have a specialist recalculate it for you to verify it. To lower body fat, the best way is to lift weights which would increase your weight a little.
- Eat less fatty foods and excersise so your body can burn the fat in your system.
- You find the fattest part of your body. Take a pair of scissors and cut it off.
- Do you look fat? look at yourself in the mirror. If you do think your fat, then heres what you do. DONT DIET, but change your lifestyle. They are different. There are many things you can do to change your lifestyle. -Drink min 8 glasses of water -Eat 5 small meals over the whole day, this will keep your metabolism going at full gear -Try drinking green tea two times a day -Exercise for a maximum of 45 min a day. Walk on a treadmill at a pace of 6 km/h, or try and achieve 70% of your heart rate, for 45 min in one go. -Avoid salt, mustard, processed salt etc... salt retains water
- If you want to lower your body fat, you need to increase your muscle. You should do that by weight training. Don't worry about getting big bulky muscles, its very hard for women to have that happen.
- That is really high. I suggest you getinto the gym and start lifting weights. When you lifet weights WITH MORE REPS LESS WEIGHT you actaully burn more fat and gain that lean muscle mass that makes a womens body looked sexy. Doing that about five times a weak working on diffrent parts of the body everyday. For example do chest and shoulders biceps and triceps one day. Next day do back and stomach, next day do calves hammstrings, quads. Take a break then do a all muscle workout. Make sure that you do 30 minutes of cardio everyday before you life weights. It's a proven fact that you lose more fat that way. One day four take the day off, but watch your calorie intake on this day because you really aren't doing anything. Day six just do Cardio then start all over again. You can do the same exercises in the same pattern for about 30 to 45 days before your body gets used to the workout and then you need to switch it up a bit. Try to get some protien in your diet too. This will help in building that lean muscle mass that will help. I hope you get this under control. Are you sure you did right. If you did one of those machines where you hold onto it you might not have held it tight enough. They are sort-of not correct because of that reason. I knew a girl that was a lot fatter then I and had lower body fat then me. But that's because she was holding the thing until her knucles turned white. So if you get a chance just go old school with the calibers. (those little clam looking things). They tell you true along witha tape measure. Good luck.
- At 115lb, I highly doubt nearly half of your body is fat unless your bones were completely hollow and you literally had no muscle mass. I'd get your body fat percentage tested professionally, either by a trainer using body fat callipers or at a facility that offers hydrostatic weighing or DXEA. You can't calculate body fat from a website. They come out with all sorts of ridiculous numbers.
