- Yes, look in a mirror. If your image is all rippled and distorted, but its not one of those joke fun fair mirrors, you're too fat.
- I think some larger stores of Boots have weighing machines that do that for you as well. Or your local gym...
- go to your doctor and get a full check up and some tests and he/she can tell you gd luck
- In many cities in a pharmacy you will see a machine that allows you to weigh yourself measure your % fat. Cost: 1 or 2 euro.
- Your BMI (body mass index) is derived from body mass related to stature to evaluate body weight. Its calculated by: Body mass (kg)/Stature (m x2). EG. If you are 1.75m tall and weigh 97.1kg, your BMI would be: =97.1kg/(1.75m x 1.75m) =97.1/3.0625 =31.7. A desirable BMI is between 20 and 25 for adults. Anything over this increases the risk of the development of hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease. Overweight is classed as a BMI of over 25 while obesity represents a BMI of over 30. However, BMI should not be used by athletes as the increased muscle mass will give a false reading. BMI also does not apply to growing children or frail, sedentary elderly adults, or pregnant women.
- Nope, need a caliper test or the like
