Do Have a Healthy Body Fat Percentage?
My info: 98lbs 5'1" 33% body fat I'm 13 year old I have two questions 1] Is that healthy? 2] If not how do I lower it? I got it all done in my PE class so it could be wrong. When I did some research on it, I didn't think it could be right because I am a cheerleader and I play softball.

- That doesn't sound right...5'1 and 98lbs is skinny....33% body fat not good. Are you sure they didn't make a mistake?
- 1) Anything over 32% is considered oboise. You may be slender but you may have no muscle and all fat. 2) Eat correctly and exercise, just like you would do to lose weight. *I think your source is incorrect. Go to the doctor's office becuause many scales are off. My scale at home is 5% and it told me I was 23% fat but when I was tested at the doctors I was 17%. Also if you are using a home scale, make sure it is set to your height. Incorect heights that are lower than your height give you a higher %. I wouldn't worry to much about it you just need to start thinking about what you put into your body. There is no need to diet! Just eat healthy, maintain stress, sleep 7-8 hours, and exercise and your % will go down to a healthy level.
- Well it wouldn't be good, but where did you get 33% body fat from anyway? To have that body fat percentage at such a low weight seems highly unlikely.
