I don't mean offense to anyone here, but I'm not obese. I'm 160lbs, and nearly 6feet 2inches. I played Varsity soccer the last two school years (excluding this one), but have not worked out or done any sports this year. Even when in sports, my heartbeat was higher than it should have been. I want to say it was about 140bpm (beats per minute) after running, but I can't be sure. Also, I've found that after walking to class between passing periods my heart beats fast. I don't know if BMI (body mass index.... which I think is the percent of fat in ones body) has anything to do with it, but mine is something like 22% as of last summer, which I know is bad for a guy. But since my heartbeat is a bit higher than average, I'm hesitant to just try and run off this extra body mass... any sound advice?
