How can I become anorexic and lose weight?

I'm thirteen years old. I'm a mere five foot three and I weigh a whopping 120 pounds. I checked my body fat using a BMI scale and it told me that my body fat was 26%! Im very unhappy with my weight and body fat and I just want to be skinnier. How can I get through a long period of time without food. I know people say anorexia is bad and all but those anorexic people do loose a lot of weight. Please help me. I run every single day too. Three miles. NOTHING WORKS! im sticking with my anorexic path.

  3. i would implore you to go talk to someone who is anorexic and find out what an emotional mess they all are before you start idolizing them. diet and exercise is the bes way to change your appearance.

Without proper nutrition,to be blunt, after a time your body begins to devour itself in search of nutrients to sustain your brain, nervous system, and other vital organs. This can create long-term and lasting effects to your muscles, heart, brain, and digestive tract. If you want to lose weight; cut the junk foods, sodas, sweets, and fats. Exercise mildly 3-4 times a weeks for 30 minutes and eat a diet with a lot of fresh raw fruits and veggies and poultry and fish.
  5. Yeah, you lose a lot of weight, but once you eat normal again you gain it ALL back. When you don't eat your body goes into starvation mode and stores anything you eat as fat.
  6. Okay, first off being 5'3" and 120 lbs is NOT overweight. If you exercise and eat better (no soda, less sugar, and NO fast food), you can lose quite a bit of weight AND still be healthy. Anorexia is not a weight loss OPTION...it is a disease that KILLS you. What good does it do to be 90 lbs or less if you are going to be dead and no one will see you at that weight?? I am speaking from experience. DON'T let yourself get sick. When you get older, you are going to realize that weight doesn't matter that much anyway. The best thing for you to do at your age is get off of the computer and get active! Also, a BMI scale does not measure your body fat. It gives you an index which puts you in underweight, ideal weight, or overweight categories for your height and other factors.

  9. remove 1/2 your brain you are obviously not using it anyway. stop looking at what you think you should weigh and start thinking about how you feel in your body. you are 13 and have barely started puberty. if you stop eating you will not develop properly. you're weight will fluctuate over the next ten years- if you mess with it now you will never be able to fix it. try eating healthier foods like veggies and fruits and protein.

  12. ok whatever you do, dont stop eating. i would laugh at your question about the anorexia, but its not funnny, its a very serious matter. people who stop eating actually gain more weight every time they do eat, because their body gets used to this eating cycle and saves all of the food as fat, cuz it doesnt know when its gonna get food again. the best solution to weight loss is to burn more calories then you intake. of course, you've probably already heard that. to be more specific, first of all, eat smaller, but more, meals. eat small healthy snacks periodically throughout the day. you need to make everything you eat healthier then you've ben eating. cut down on fat and carbs, BUT DONT DELETE THEM. you need those things as part of normal nutrition, but you dont want them in excess. drinking water helps. if your really craving something sweet to eat, take a full bottle of water and see how fast you can finish it. under ten seconds is ideal. does it give you something sweet to eat? no, but after you do that, you wont want to eat anything for at least 20 minutes. also, increase your level of activity. start walking every day for half an hour, work your way up to jogging, and then running. do anything aerobic- you intake oxygen while you do it- swimming for a long period of time is excellent. jogging, dance, swimming, running, byciclying- theres all kinds of things you can do. good luck

  14. Stop eatting cookies and candy and eat healthy you dont have to stop eatting. Just be careful of what you eat. You sound ok for your height and weight.
  15. Look, being anorexic will make you look ugly! you should want to loose weigth the healthy way and that will get you a GREAT body and you will even look better. Heres some tips You should drink atleast 4-5 bottles of water a day. Also, i would suggest 2 cups green tea in the morning, and 2 cups at night. This is shown that after 3 months of drinking green tea that people weigh less and have a lower body fat percentage. If your dedicated enough to want to become anorexic, i guess you should be dedicated enought to drastically cut calories. A good amount of calories is somewhere atleast at 1500. So keep track of what your eating, and loook at the nutrition labels and such and pay attention to serving sizes! Eat a lot of fruits and veggies. Also, in order to reduce body fat % you need to gain muscle. Workout alot. Run everyday for like 25 mins and i would aslo suggest the Turbo Jam workouts. Turbo sculplt is part of the 5 workout dvds which i have and its great for gaining muscle to look lean and sculpted. When you do that, eat protein bars and chicken and albacore tuna to get that toned look everyone wants! Cut out all junk, and maybe look towards the organic sections of your supermarket because theres no added sugar and such. AND MAKE SURE SINCE YOUR CUTTING OUT ALOT TO TAKE A MULTIVITAMIN, like flinstones :) please dont starve yourself and take some of my advice :)
  16. The more you age the more taller you will get and look slimmer. Anorexia is NOT the way to go. Its one thing to diet. But its a serious condition. I honestly don't think that your mentally ill, i just think that your trying to look for the fastest way. Don't be naive and do that, unless you want to hurt your friends and family.   17. that wud notttt be smart to try to be anorexic to lose weight. im 13 too, and trust me ive also considered it. go to google and type in pro ana. those r websites about anorexia and people that have it. but to answer ur question, just cut back on calories and exercise a lot. find out how many calories u usually eat, and subtract about 300 off of that. like for example rite now to lose weight, im eating 2 egg whites for protein for breakfast, a small apple or orange for lunch, and green tea and a glass of milk for dinner and exercising a whole lot. likee a couple hundred crunches a day at least, jogging, and an exercise machine i have. also to convince ur self not to eat something jsut like find something that will keep u motivated not to. but make sure u drink a lot of water and dont eat wayyy too little, because not eating enough will lead to binge eating and then u gain more weight. like i was doing a cranberry juice fast one time and after 3 days i ate more than i had in like a week in one day because i was so hungry . so dont eat less than the example i gave u of what to eat. and try to eat healthy foods, but in smaller portions. good luck=] and if u have any questions just message meee.
  18. I feel bad that you are 13 and see yourself this way. If you stop eating you WILL seriously damage yourself physically and mentally. I had a girlfriend who previously had an eating disorder and every time she ate she wanted to puke. Please listen to the advice you asked for and concentrate on being healthy not skinny. Anorexia does not mean not eating it is the name of a Mental Disorder. Look up some pictures of the reality of Anorexia and you will see. Just eat right and exercise.

Your metabolism slows down. Your body fat ratio increases while your muscle mass decreases (and heads up, the more muscle mass you have the better your figure is and the higher your metabolism is). Anorexia is NOT the answer. These supermodels and actresses that are twig thin make it the ideal to be a certain way, but in reality, without proper diet and exercise, anorexia is just delayed suicide. You are killing off your body by your choice to stop nourishing it. Get off your butt, go outside and exercise. Walking just a half hour a day helps - everything that isn't laying around watching TV or typing on the computer helps. Make sensible choices about what you eat and nourish your body. You are very young and will be in that body for a long time (provided you don't follow through with your idea here), and so you really should take very good care of it, what you do now impacts your future. You risk dental problems, hairloss, kidney failure, and death just to name a few. How pretty do you think you will feel with your thin figure will be when it's primarilly body fat, and you have bad teeth, thin hair and damaged kidneys? I'm not trying to be mean, but you are taking about taking some dangerous steps here, and someone needs to put scare some sense into you by showing you the truth!!!
  20. Sweetheart, the best way to lose weight and keep your life is watch your food intake and exercise. Get off the computer and walk, play tennis, walk your dog. Don't be still, constantly move. At 13 your metabolism is still high, but you have to activate it by exercise. You can still practically eat whatever you want. The thing is eat in moderation and make sure it's prepared more healthily than whatever you were doing to gain the weight. Don't under any circumstances go to the extreme of anorexia. Why die just to be skinny? To look thin in a casket? Use your common sense and WALK to your local library and find a diet book that will be fun for you to try. Get a friend or family member to join you. There's strength in numbers. You can do it, if your heart is truly in it. But be sensible. Go to your school nurse if you don't have a family doctor or nutritionist. They will help you achieve your goal and preserve your life. Also you don't have that much to lose, healthy BMI is at 18 to 25. You're only at 26. That's about 10 to 12 lbs. With proper diet and exercise you should reach your goal in about 6 weeks.
