Body fat Percentage, Machine Calculated Question?
I use a body fat machine, you grip it and it sends the signal through the body and comes back with a random number of how much of your body is fat, yes i know they're not accurate, but I've been dunked under water multiple times, which is about 95% accurate i'd say, and it's been known to be about 2-4% off (the machine compared to the dunking). Anyway as for my question, Why does age have anything to do with how much fat is in my body? for instance, the machine tester, said i was 16% body fat, but my birthday is this thursday, so I put that I was 19 instead of 18 just to check, and It dropped me down to 13%. That doesn't make any sense , how should age affect how much fat is in the body? I know age is used to determine a healthy level of % fat in the body, but it shouldn't affect how much fat is IN the body? any ideas? Thanks

- I don't really think it is just about how much fat you have, but how much fat is healthy for you. Just as teens are recommended 9 hours of sleep and one hour of exercises and people over 20 are recommended 8 hours of sleep and 30 minutes of exercise. Chemicals in the body change with age, therefore, so does the physical expectations. This may not be exactly true, and I am absolutely positive there is more to it than this, however you can look it up online if no one else answers your question and I'm sure it may be more informative.
- My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product (all natural) which I think helps a lot in the process (it's really good for detox, you'll feel much healthier). I recommend you check this website http://slimhealth.info , they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling. Good luck!
